About me:

My name is Paweł Czarnotta. I come from Poland and I am 28 years old. Around May 2025 I have decided to change my career path.
After making a list of all my strenghts and weaknesses I've made the decision to try myself in programming.
Due to my education in IT(4 year Technical school back in my hometown for which I received an EUROPASS cert. with 3 competencies one of which was developing web apps with HTML, CSS, JS, PHP and MySql), keen eye for spotting defects and flaws( proven by my recent track of career development in Quality Control), my attention to detail and problem solving skills I knew programming could be my thing if I just focus on it. And I wasn't wrong.
I started my journey with programming by going through a Python course made by Python Institute for which I took a test with pass mark of 70%. I passed it on my first try and received PCEP(Python Entry Level Certificate) which is displayed on my Linkedin profile. Back then I didn't know that the start of my career in programming will be web development. But as I progressed with trying out different Python modules I decided that the shortest way to getting a job and fulfilling my goals of learning programming would be to find a new job.
Currently I work as a quality controller in a factory where I do 12h shift on a day-night shift pattern with the amount of workhours varying from 168-192 depending on month. I have devoted – and continue to devote – a significant amount of my free time between shifts and on days off to expanding my knowledge, familiarizing myself with code, creating and modifying my own projects, and getting closer to achieving my goals.
Currently, my main goal is to find a job as a Backend Developer, so I can spend as much time as possible working with code. After that, I plan to focus heavily on Python modules related to automation and those designed for handling and analyzing large amounts of data. Once I’ve achieved everything I’ve set out to do in Python, I plan to learn either the C or C++ programming language. Ultimately, in several or perhaps a dozen years, I would like to learn Assembler — at least the basics.
A month after obtaining my PCEP I've managed to obtain PCAP(Python Associate Level Certificate), after which I started learning Django. It took me around 1.5 month to build this Portfolio site and my first project in Django - Portfolio's Bank. For some it might not be as much of an accomplishment, but I'm proud of learning new skill especially that working through every issue I encountered was fun and not very challenging. Please keep in mind I've done all of this while learning Django and still working in a factory . Imagine what I could do if given proper resources and enough time.
